Raindance is dedicated to fostering and promoting independent film in Canada and around the world. Raindance combines Raindance Film Festival, Training Courses and Raindance.tv.

Raindance spans the full spectrum of the art, craft and business of independent movies - from guerilla style low or no budget productions to big budget indie blockbusters.

We don't Teach Filmmaking. We make filmmakers.

Our training courses are at the heart of the Raindance structure, aiming to give individuals the tools to get out there and start shooting their film. We combine the best filmmaking traditions with new digital technology – a policy that works. In the last twelve months, over 3,000 filmmakers - writers, directors, producers, actors, agents, film and media students - attended our courses.
