First Weekend Club had such a fantastic week at Whistler Film Festival. Nothing quite compares to WFF!

We are so happy to continuously share all the WFF happenings with our readers and Canadian Film Fans. I just received the following 'wrap up' announcement from Whistler Film Festival and simply must share it with you as it's really quite tremendous! Below are the details about the award winning films, special accolades, tributes and a few wonderful future partnership announcements. Whistler, B.C. (November 23, 2011) – The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) in association with the Whistler Film Festival as part of the Whistler Presents series is proud to announce that Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Take Shelter, Boardwalk Empire) will be honoured at this year’s Spotlight Tribute & Gala on Saturday, December 3rd at the 11th annual Whistler Film Festival (November 30 - December 4, 2011). The Tribute will take place from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Whistler Conference Centre and will be followed by a Gala celebration at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre.

Tribute to Jay Baruchel at Whistler Film Festival

The Whistler Film Festival was proud to present a fantastic "Tribute to Jay Baruchel" where he  received Whistler’s first "Screenwriter to Watch Award". It was an honour to attend the December 1st event at the Whistler Conference Centre to see to the candid interview conducted by Variety Magazine.  More info is below!
