Karynn Austin
Karynn Austin has worked in the Canadian entertainment business for over 20 years, primarily in the distribution and marketing of feature films both theatrically and for home entertainment. Her successes reach as far back as Bruce McDonald's ROADKILL and Quentin Tarentino's RESERVOIR DOGS to more recent releases such as LARS AND THE REAL GIRL and CHARLIE BARTLETT. She began her career working on the production side of the business working on award-winning documentaries and short films. Since joining the distribution side she has worked for independent film companies including C/FP Distribution, Malofilm, TVA Films and currently holds the title of Director of Distribution and Marketing for Equinoxe Films. She is active in the acquisition and development of feature films for Equinoxe as well as belonging to CAFDE, WIFT-Toronto and now the Board of Directors for the First Weekend Club.
